At the assembly announcing the 60th Anniversary of the Fathers’ Follies, Spankanella the witch appears riding a scooter, announcing the show is cancelled. Her assistant, Hoggit the Giant, captures Principal Stricthammer. At the Dads’ Club, the kids, Johnny’s Dad, and Dr. Aardvarkian, a peanut butter scientist, discover the fireplace is a dimensional portal. A Time Machine appears, and the kids are warned that Spankanella is going through time destroying Fathers’ Follies and they must stop her.

At the witch’s lair Principal Stricthammer is held captive. Spankanella demonstrates her Peanutbutterator, with which she plans destroy all Follies material that she captured in her time travels. The intrepid VW group riding in the Time Machine appears and, after several verbal exchanges, chases, dances, and whatever, manage to overcome the witch. We learn that her evilness resulted from her father being too busy to participate in the Fathers Follies in years past (a lesson for current and future VW dads?). The ghost of her father performs in this show thus reversing Spanknella's injustice. Out of the Dads’ Club fireplace rise the Ancient Lovelies who award medals to the VW people, and ask the audience if Spankanella should be pardoned or peanutbutterated. Enthusiastically, the kids chose the latter.

The Ancient Lovely chairman congratulates Johnny and Cutina for never giving up and for saving Fathers’ Follies. The Can-Can was the finale.
