By Jill Benone:
Verdugo Woodlands Elementary School seems to have been in great danger from hillsides developers and condo conversions in the fifty-second outing of this show. An impressive cast list of forty-six characters was listed in the program, with some doubling by actors. Among the characters are the Mayor, city council members (one played by teacher Mike Lichtman), city officials, lawyers, bankers, construction foremen, developers, and various other official – and officious – busybodies. There is a quintet of Spice Girls, with the wonderful names of Swanky, Athletic, Infant (played by teacher Sam Donabedian), Horrified, and Paprika. The usual PTA ladies and several kids, who undoubtedly saved the day, were also part of the show.
The program displayed an impressive number of ad pages, and the contribution of the GCC student technicians was noted.
