By Jill Benone:
This was the first of three 1977-1990 reworked scripts. Mysterious happenings at the Old Dark House, once again populated by Dr. Karloff, Vlad, the Suit of Armor and Frankenstein Monster, with the addition of the Phantom of the Old Dark House, drew Mike Lichtman, a PTA investigative committee, and the kids. A boy delivering pizza requires hazard pay, a bat a snake and a Swamp Creature with a Heart of Gold are around. Past Steering Committee chairmen and producers, Dave West and Kirk Stewart, although no longer living in Glendale, came to the rescue of the group

Follies aided two GCC theatre students, David Easter and Matt Foyer to join theatrical unions by "paying" them Each young man had a specialty number, and apparently enjoyed his brief stardom.

Due to careful financial management, the 1990 Follies acheived several school fundraising needs:
Installation of playground sprinklers: $2,600.00
Distribution to PTA: $5,000.00
