The names of the orchestra members were not available by the program deadline, but were listed on the credit slides.
Grandpa is telling the kids about the famous jungle trek he took in 1935 with Trader Horn and his assistants Frei and Easi. Also on the trek were Titus and Loosa Johnson, and Googie the Gun-Bearer, searching for the Fountain of Youth. At Nick’s Café, was a cabaret sister act – Uwanna and Ubetchha.
Mike Lichtman "somehow is in this story in 1935" and the requisite PTA ladies run into Tarzana, Queen of the Jungle (Tarzan’s ticked-off cousin who would rather be shopping at Nordstrom’s). They also meet Polly Penguin-Keeper, Percival Postash, and a voodoo queen named Greymalkin who wants our intrepid explorers for lunch.
We discovered the penguin costumes in pristine condition, which inspired the story and a dance extravaganza called "The Penguin Shuffle". (Our North Pole penguins wanted to move to the South Pole, and vice-versa – a program note explains we KNOW there are no penguins at the North Pole.)
Donation distribution to PTA: $5,000.00
Donation distribution to Dads’ Club $2,500.0
