By Jill Benone:
The third time around for high jinks at the Fall Festival, and the second time Snoopy flew the air watch helicopter. The script was the same as before with, as far as the script or the program indicated, very few changes. Although there is no indication in the program, I think I remember the Can-Can ended the show.
"No Business Like Show Business" continued to open the evening.. Jack Mason, who played Snoopy, did not wear a Snoopy mask. I don’t recall a scene with "Snoopy" and the PTA ladies. For this program, as for the past several programs, there were "funny" cast bios and program notes, which were a little heavy-handed and only covered a small portion of the cast and crew. Steve Smith played himself, there is no mention of Gary Goold in the program, but Mike Lichtman is listed in the technical crew.
The time constraint in building the program was beginning to take its toll. This was BC (before computers); the program information was late in coming in and was sometimes quite inaccurate. No one seemed to know how to control the problem. Dancers began to think of themselves as the "real stars", and an adversary climate developed. The "clique" atmosphere was beginning to worry the Steering Committee
Fathers’ Follies itself continued in its popularity and the donation sales continued to grow, as did the number of men, women, and children involved with the show.
