By Jill Benone:
It was a bit of a shock to realize the darn thing had actually lasted a quarter of a century. Many of the original Follies families still lived in Verdugo Woodlands, and the credits reflect names of those who, although not necessarily active in 1947, overlapped with that first group.

The twenty-page program contained eleven pages of "donations", from business cards to a full back cover. A Program Chairman and Sales Manager were listed, with a sizable group of sales representatives. Over one hundred names are listed in the program.

The story? Oh, yes. Well, let’s see. It seems the PTA ladies are upset about violence on TV (they should see it today!). Ta-Ra-Ra-Boom-De-Ay is sung in the third scene when the ladies decide to storm the GBS Network. They invade several popular TV shows – The Cartridge Family, The Brainy Bunch, Star Wreck, The Merv Muffin Show, Carol Birdnutt, Lucille Baldy, a sports show with "Cowad Wholes'l", Dino Martini, The Prone Stranger and Pronto and several commercials.

Principal Steve Smith chases after them, aided by the kids, and declares he will star in the nightly Steve Smith Five And One-Half Hour Amateur Night program, replacing all the violence on TV. He then introduces the Grass Roots Singers "from basement of the glamorous Glendale Hotel" who reprise the PTA song, and sing "Hail Verdugo Woodlands". The Can-Can ends the show.
